This photograph is drawn from James’ series of photographs of the work of early twentieth century Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik in Ljubljana. James examines Plečnik's contribution to the built environment as well as the city's now vibrant social and cultural context.
Geoffrey James is a British-born photographer working in Canada. James has photographed the built environment throughout his extensive career including urban parks and spaces, rural landscapes and the interior of the Kingston Penitentiary. James' recent images include Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik's work in Ljubljana.
